Shipping
Where we ship
We ship only to countries of the European Union. The country box at checkout lists them; if yours is not in it, we cannot deliver to you.
Every order is packed and sent from the grove at Zakros in Crete.
What it costs
Shipping is priced by parcel weight, not by item count, because a 5 litre tin and a 250 ml bottle are genuinely different parcels. The cost for your basket is worked out at checkout as soon as you choose a delivery country, and is shown in full before you confirm anything.
There is no price table on this page, on purpose. Rates change, and a rate printed here would sooner or later contradict the one you are actually charged. The figure at checkout is the figure you pay, and you see it before the order is placed, not after.
When we dispatch
We pack by hand. You get an email with a tracking number when the parcel leaves us.
During the November harvest everything else stops for a few weeks and dispatch takes longer. We would rather tell you that than quietly miss an estimate.
Orders paid by bank transfer are dispatched once the money has arrived with us.
If the parcel is damaged
Glass and couriers sometimes disagree. If your parcel arrives damaged or leaking:
- Photograph it before unpacking further, including the outer box.
- Send them through our contact form with your order number. The form takes up to three photographs.
- We answer with what happens next.
Risk stays with us until the goods reach you, so a parcel damaged in transit is our problem to fix, not yours to argue about with the courier.
If it does not arrive
Tell us and we will chase the courier. There is no arbitrary waiting period, though do allow a few days past the estimate first, because parcels often turn up.
If the courier records a delivery to an address you gave us incorrectly, we cannot replace it free of charge. Please check the address at checkout.
Packaging
Bottles are packed to survive the post, and the packaging is chosen so that it can go in the recycling when it reaches you.
